We’ve heard your requests regarding bridging the gap between judges and competitors. The Virginia TSA Executive Council has created and approved a Project Value Statement supplement available to all competitors for use at Technosphere. This statement should be used to exemplify to the judges aspects of a competitor’s project which they feel define its value and intentions. We hope that in practice, this statement will make judging both easier for our judges and more accurate for our competitors. Thank you.

November 17-18 saw Virginia TSA members and advisors from around the state gathering at the Wyndham Crossings in Glen Allen, VA for the annual Leadership Academy. The goal of this Leadership Event is to encourage and develop leadership among Virginia TSA members to use at the local, state and national levels. Friday evening was a time to get to know one another and hear what caused the current Virginia TSA Executive council to become interested in being leaders. Several Ice Breaker activities were held and heard an inspiring speech by TSA Alum, Chris Sheap. Finally, a meet and greet time with the state officer team ended the evening. On Saturday groups were rotated through a series of sessions to help develop students skills in leadership. Workshops were designed around this years theme, Get a Clue. Lots of good food and fellowship was enjoyed throughout the weekend. Hope to see you at Leadership Academy next year!!
