Project Value Statement

By | | Virginia TSA

We’ve heard your requests regarding bridging the gap between judges and competitors. The Virginia TSA Executive Council has created and approved a Project Value Statement supplement available to all competitors for use at Technosphere. This statement should be used to exemplify to the judges aspects of a competitor’s project which they feel define its value and intentions. We hope that in practice, this statement will make judging both easier for our judges and more accurate for our competitors. Thank you.

State officers at ChannelCon 2018

By | | Virginia TSA

Four Virginia state officers, one regional president, myself and our former National TSA President Aala Nasir traveled to Washington DC on August 2nd to represent National TSA at ChannelCon 2018, CompTIA’s main conference for the year.   President Devan Patel, Secretary Virginia Suddarth, Historian Sruti Kamarajugadda and Parliamentarian Hirak Shah joined South Central President Tyler Yarow and Nasir on the train that left Richmond Amtrak station at 6 A.M.  After arriving in DC, we joined National TSA Executive Director Rosanne White and National TSA Program Director Lynda Haitz, and we all got on the Metro to go over to the Washington Marriott Wardman Park where the conference was taking place.  The officers first session they attended was that of 17-year-old Alex Taylor, founder and CEO of Wind Craft Aviation.  They attended a session on diversity and inclusion and one from Peter Zapf to close out their morning.  The officers then got to have a private lunch with Taylor where they could ask him anything they wanted.  This was a really neat moment for them since he was their age and was CEO of a multi-million dollar company.  After lunch we attended CompTIA’s vendor fair where the officers got to talk to business and tech people from all over the country and London, England.  Later that afternoon we jumped back on the Metro and the Amtrak train to arrive back in Richmond at 9 P.M.  It was an exciting day and they did a great job not only representing Virginia TSA, but National TSA.
