The Virginia TSA is committed to giving back to our communities and regions by providing service for valuable community organizations and charities. Students are encouraged to reach out and assist their local communities, and Virginia TSA regions often take up service projects of their own.
Virginia TSA has adopted a State Service Project of fighting cancer with the American Cancer Society.
During the school year, TSA chapters around the country raise money to help fund the vital research, education, advocacy, and patient services of the American Cancer Society through our Relay for Life partnership. Virginia TSA Chapters are encouraged to start Relay for Life teams, and get involved in their local Relay.
As a national partner organization, the TSA’s contributions to Relay for Life are tracked by the American Cancer Society to be recognized at the State and National TSA conferences with the Spirit of Service Award. When registering, TSA chapters should be sure to sign up their teams as TSA Relay teams.
